The mission of LaundryCares Foundation is to enrich the communities of our members through programming that addresses unmet needs of laundry customers.
Our Vision
An industry-wide effort where laundry facilities deliver basic needs services in under-served communities around the world including free laundry services via Free Laundry & Literacy Days, learning resources for early childhood development, and disaster relief assistance.
How It All Started
Nonprofit agencies often have a hard time reaching people in underserved communities. As businesses who regularly serve these customers, we realized we could be a conduit. The ti me these individuals and families spend each week at our laundries could be used to connect them with much-needed resources, from books to food to housing information.
Many Coin Laundry Association members were already going above and beyond for their customers, including creating reading corners for kids, serving free pizza and hosting information sessions. LaundryCares brings all of these efforts under one umbrella.
